July 27, 2015 will mark our Five-Year Anniversary.  We would like to thank our customers, our friends and family, Crane's in Fennville, and every person who  has welcomed us into the Downtown Holland community with open arms and smiles.  Thank you for the support, loyalty and friendship you have shown us in the past five years.  Your encouragement, kindness and support mean a lot.

Passing of Lue Crane

Crane's In The City

AuntLueCollage.jpg

Words cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of my Aunt Lue.  She passed away, January 11, 2015.  She leaves an amazing legacy through her family that will continue on. Not only did she teach her children the value of hard work, but she treasured being with them.  She loved and admired her family, touched so many lives, and impacted many others along the way. To Uncle Bob, Gary, Becky, Laura, Rob & Nancy, all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, I am truly sorry for your loss.  She was a very special Aunt.

City Cristo

Crane's In The City

Have you tried our City Cristo Sandwich yet?

When you hear the combination of ingredients, you might wonder how on earth did they think of this and will it actually taste good all together? The answer is - ABSOLUTELY! Not your typical sandwich, this one is piled high with slices of lean turkey, provolone cheese, apple slices, and honey mustard dressing between two thick slices of Crane's homemade apple butter bread.. oh that bread is something special; toasted and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

What's the saying? "A symphony in my mouth."

About Us

Crane's In The City

Chad and I opened Crane's In The City July 27, 2010 at 11 East 8th Street in Holland. We are co-owners with the original restaurant, Crane's Pie Pantry in Fennville. I am a niece of founders, Bob and Lue Crane.

Our urban restaurant brings all the fun foods from its rural roots like Sloppy Joes, homemade soups and chili, and, of course, their famous homemade pastries. We have seating for 35, including a dozen patio seats and employ a staff of 10 part-timers.

We are proud to serve Crane's homemade pies. Our selection includes over 12 fruit pies and crisps, apple-walnut cake, strudels, apple dumplings, and the famous cider donuts made fresh daily in-house.

Some special pie choices include the no-sugar pies; made with a sweetener similar to Splenda.

We have Crane's classic line of cherry, blueberry and raspberry preserves, and of course apple butter, local honey, hot fudge and caramel sauce.

We've had a great crowd since we opened. Downtown is a fun place to be. Eighth Street seems to be the center of activity, and even in the snowbelt, it's fun.

We offer coffee and espresso drinks of all sorts, and serve Plainwell ice cream.

Sincerely,
Chad & Mary Jo Creevy
